When an organization or team wants to generate a bolder strategy, and take its game to the next level it has to address both the “content” and the “context” of its change effort.
By content, I mean ensuring that everyone is on the same page, with the same understanding of the bold direction, objectives and plans.
In so many organizations this seemingly simple step is not achieved in an effective way. Typically the strategy is too high level, vague or conceptual, and different team members have different ideas, interpretations, agendas and priorities about the direction, methodology, process and destination.
By context, I mean creating the environment in which people truly own the collective game and everyone can communicate, interact and collaborate in a highly open, honest, authentic, courageous and courageous way.
In so many organizations people don’t trust the direction or the culture because they don’t trust their leaders’ sincerity, courage, competence and/or care for their people.
Addressing the content alone will at best produce a dynamic of half-hearted compliance (and fear) that will be insufficient to achieve extraordinary results. Attending to the context alone won’t work either because un-channeled enthusiasm is often ineffective hence unsustainable.
Any strategy is only as good as people’s relationship with it.
Based on more than 30 years of working with thousands of teams from industry-leading organizations around the world, I have developed a unique approach to organizational transformation — that simultaneously addresses the content and context dimensions.
Regardless of the starting point, Quantum Performance Inc works to equip and enable organizations to achieve extraordinary results through TOTAL Ownership, Alignment & Engagement.
