Be a role model!

Being a role model does not mean being perfect. It also doesn’t mean not making mistakes and always having your act together. It means being authentic and courageous.

Being authentic means being the best you that you can be; not trying to copy or pretend to be someone else, being clear about your commitments, values and what you stand for, and always staying true to them.

Being courageous has many expressions too. At times it means being bold, brave and confident; expressing yourself loud and clear. However, in other times the courageous thing to do is to allow yourself to be vulnerable, to not know and not have the answer; to let others guide, help and support you. Sometimes courage can mean just listening and being silent.

If you want to be a role model focus on making a difference and live out loud – in your way and your style –  and you will inspire others to do the same.
